Model 8610C GC  Mainframe Features

The 8610C Gas Chromatograph is a bench-top or field portable GC with a full size column oven which uses the same fused silica capillary columns or packed columns as a full sized laboratory GC. The flexibility of the 8610C GC allows for the same combinations of hardware with multiple injector, detector and add-on options as you would find on a full size, high priced bench-top GC. They are extremely durable and field transportable, UPS/FED-EX shippable, and can even be checked as airline baggage.

Each Model 8610C GC chassis includes:

1. An insulted high temperature column oven (7.8"W x 8.0"D x 3.0"H), programmable from ambient to 400șC. The oven can accommodate all standard capillary or packed GC columns of 7" coil diameters or less.  A dual oven configuration is also available for multi-dimensional GC work. In this instance, the column coils are restricted to 4" diameter or smaller.

2. A single cold on-column injector is standard.  Additional cold on-column injectors and optional conversion to other injector systems are available.

3. Versatile temperature programming with unlimited ramps and holds. Program the column oven at up to 40șC per minute up to 400șC. Cool down time from 250șC to 50șC in five minutes or less.

4. System Gases: Electronic (pneumatic) Pressure Control (EPC) of all system gases.

5. Pressure Program via EPC: Unlimited ramps and holds. Program the carrier gas pressure from 0 to 100 psi at up to 99 psi per minute.

6. Acclaimed IBM compatible PEAKSIMPLE data acquisition software (MS-DOS, Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 versions) and SERIAL PORT interface which turns any IBM PC or LAPTOP (required for GC's operation) into a powerful chromatography integrator. The PEAKSIMPLE software can acquire signals from up to four data channels on two instruments and totally controls the unlimited temperature programs and automation of the 8610C GCs. Connection to PC is via RS232 port.

7. LED "at-a-glance" status indicator panel gives you a quick visual indication of all controlled zones.

8. Dimensions/weight: 18.5"W x 14.5"D x 12.5"H (mainframe only). Power requirement: 110VAC, 60Hz or 220VAC, 50Hz.

9. Protective, heavy duty shipping case provided. Meets IATA and FAA dimensional baggage requirements.

10. Two year factory warranty.

 

Model 310 GC  Mainframe Features

The Model 310 GC offers the same features as the Model 8610C GC listed above. The 310 GC mainframe can accommodate up to 4 detectors with a single on-column, heated, or split/splitless injector. The 400^oC programmable column oven measures 5" W x 5" D x 3" H and requires the use of capillary columns coiled in 4" diameters or less, or 1/8" packed columns. EPC and Peaksimple Data System for integration, hardware automation and control are included. Choose the Model 310 GC when your application does not require the use of gas sampling valves or a larger column oven which requires the larger 8610C mainframe.
