The 8610D Dual Oven GC offers all of the features of the SRI model 8610C gas chromatograph, but with dual, independent temperature-programmable column ovens, and dual direct on-column injection ports. This GC can perform the work of two conventional gas chromatographs, when equipped with two or more detectors, and in less than half the space of one conventional bench top laboratory instrument. It is perfect for those high-output laboratories that need to perform simultaneous analyses using different columns, detectors, and methods. Ideal for laboratory, field, and mobile applications, this compact dual system takes up no more bench space than the standard, single column oven 8610C GC, yet delivers much more performance. 

The 8610D is also perfect for multidimensional chromatography applications, where with the addition of an automated stream switching valve, a "time slice" from one column effluent can be redirected to a second, longer column, in a separate temperature-programmed column oven. this brief "time slice" may then be drawn out into a longer duration analysis, permitting extreme resolution of the segment to be scrutinized. Multidimensional chromatographers will appreciate no longer having to string two full-sized GCs together (as suggested in one of the leading chromatography magazines in an article published in November, 1996) to accomplish what this compact, portable chromatography powerhouse can perform.
