CAPILLARY COLUMNS - PART NUMBER "ASSEMBLY":
Our column product line includes the five
industry-standard I.D.'s of fused silica, 10 to 105 meter lengths, over 20
standard and specialty bonded phases and film thicknesses of
0.1 to 18.0 microns. This yields thousands of potential
column configurations and, therefore, catalog number
possibilities. Instead of using computer sequenced catalog
numbers, we use a simple method of "assembling" our
catalog numbers which yields an easily recognizable
description of the column. This enables you to choose one of
our standard columns, easily match a competitors column, or
configure a custom column with any length, I.D. and film
thickness you may need for your application.
It is important
to remember that some phases do have film thickness
limitations and are not necessarily available in all the
lengths listed - refer to the Available Column Configurations
of each phase type in the
Columns Section for limitations.
Each catalog number must
include the following information:
- Phase
type or phase code
- Column
length
- Column
I.D.
- Film
thickness
and follow the format below:
|
(PHASE CODE) - (LENGTH) (I.D. CODE) -
(FILM THICKNESS) F |
For example: 007-5
(bonded 5% phenyl methyl polysiloxane) 50M. x 0.53mm I.D. x 1.0µm
film
#007 - 5 - 50 V
- 1.0 F
Another example: 007-CW
(bonded polyethylene glycol) 30M. x 0.25mm I.D. x 0.5µm film
#007 -
CW - 30 - 0.5 F
|
Choose the
PHASE CODE from the
list of stationary phases below.
Refer to the Columns Section if
you need more information about
the particular phase. |
Choose the
LENGTH of
your column
(Meters). Custom lengths
are available - we will produce ANY LENGTH you require. |
Select the
I.D. you need
from the list below and insert
the I.D. CODE into the catalog number. |
Select the
FILM
THICKNESS (µm)
you require for your application.
Be sure the film is within the acceptable range for the particular phase and I.D. of the column
by referring to the Available
Column Configurations
section
of the phase.
We
will produce custom films too, within the
limitations of the given phase type.
